Happy Birthday to Mr John Watson, 100 Years Young today
The Parish celebrated the 100th Birthday of John Watson this afternoon, in the Village Hall, with a tea party.
John is a well known resident having lived in the village for the majority of his life. Family, friends, neighbours, many representing the local Cricket, Bowls and Lunch Clubs were with him to help him celebrate. Byway Closure until further notice
Studdens Lane by way is closed to all horses and vehicles. Water damage has created an enormous hole in the surface which extends across almost the whole width of the byway. ES Rights of Way have added that for the time being it can safely stay open to walkers.
Repairs may not be possible until the summer, given the ground conditions.

Upcoming Community Event - Barn Dance at the Castle 14th March 2020
The patients have collaborated with the Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre to hold a barn dance for the community at Herstmonceux.

Southern Water message - Victoria Road Works Update
Sewer improvement works, Herstmonceux
Hello,
As you're aware, we're making some improvements to the sewer network in Chapel Row, Gardener Street and Victoria Road, Herstmonceux.
What happens next?
We've completed the first stage of our work in Victoria Road and the road will be re-opened this week to vehicles, with the exception of HGV's who will need to continue to use the diversion route.
