Accident & Emergency (A&E)  The nearest service to Herstmonceux is at the Eastbourne District & General Hospital, King's Drive, Eastbourne (( 417400).
The surgery in West End, Herstmonceux  (Dr Baker, Dr Dodge, Dr Simmons, ( 833535/fax 833998) - behind the Woolpack Inn - is open from 8.30am to 1pm daily (weekdays) and from 4pm to 6pm daily (weekdays) except Tuesdays.  Bookable appointments can be made with a doctor 9am to 12noon and 4pm to 6pm (daily weekdays, except Tuesday afternoon); with a nurse, Monday and Tuesday 9am to 12.30pm and Wednesday to Friday 9am to 12noon. Emergencies outside of surgery opening hours: please ring the normal surgery number 833535. Your call with either be diverted to our out of hours service or there will be a message advising you what to do.
